Built by an estimator, not a software company
BidSnap exists because reading a 750-page spec book the night before a site meeting is a bad way to spend an evening.
My name is Jibbe Holwerda. I estimate civil earthwork and underground utility work in southern Alberta: storm ponds, subdivisions, water and sewer mains, site grading. I have spent 6 years pricing tenders for a working contractor, which means I have spent hundreds of evenings with spec books, geotech reports, and addenda, looking for the handful of pages that actually change the price.
BidSnap is the tool I wanted on those evenings. It reads every page of a tender package, knows what my company self-performs, and hands me the scope, the risks, the deadlines, and the things that should show up in my pricing, with every claim cited back to the page it came from.
What BidSnap believes
- Analysis, not decisions. BidSnap gives you the facts to make the bid or no-bid call. It never makes the call for you. You are the estimator.
- Every page, every document. The risk that sinks a bid is on page 350, not page 3. Skimming is not reviewing.
- Pay per tender. Construction is seasonal. Nobody needs another subscription invoice in January.
- Verify against the source. AI can make mistakes. That is why every report cites the exact page, so checking takes seconds.
